I've spent my entire life trying to simplify the world around me as a first-generation Asian-American. I was the designated translator in our household because my parents weren't fluent in English. This role evolved into their personal technical support when technology became an integrated part of life.
Because of all the time I've spent helping them navigate through their devices, I always design with my parents in mind. I would ask myself, "Would mom and dad be able to use this? Would they be able to figure it out without me?" Today, I am thankful for the critical thinking skills I've gained from finding ways for my parents to get what they need without my help. It's been an incredible skill that I've carried into my career.
I'm curious about all aspects of life, and you can see it in my interests. I have a million hobbies, including cooking, painting, jiu-jitsu, kickboxing, rollerskating, off-roading, and video games. I've competed on a world and collegiate level in all the martial arts and have earned my first degree blackbelt in jiu-jitsu.
Life has a lot to offer, and I aspire to learn something new every day.
I'm always excited to meet new people and I can talk about anything under the sun. If I can't, then I'd love to listen and learn. c:
